1776 - 2026 • CELEBRATING AMERICA'S 250TH YEAR
AMERICA
BLESS GOD
A citywide billboard campaign lifting the name of Jesus Christ over Rockford and our nation.

WHY WE'RE DOING THIS
A Declaration Restored Over Our City
This campaign didn't begin with a marketing idea. It began with prayer. As we walked the streets of downtown Rockford, lifting our voices over the city, one declaration continually rose within us:

"Jesus is Lord over Rockford."

It wasn't a slogan. It was a declaration the Lord was establishing in our hearts before it was ever displayed on a billboard.

From that moment forward, we knew this declaration was meant to be heard beyond our prayer walks. Throughout Scripture, God instructed His people to establish memorials, raise banners, and publicly proclaim His covenant faithfulness. We believe public declarations still matter today.

These billboards are one expression of that conviction—a visible proclamation that Jesus Christ is Lord over Rockford, over Illinois, and over America.
"Nothing leaves heaven until something is said on the earth."
- Apostle Jonathan Byrd
RE-DIGGING THE WELLS
Calling Them by the Names of Our Fathers
Long before we raised these billboards, a father in the faith raised them first. Apostle Dr. Don Lyon served this region for decades, and he declared these very words over Rockford — "Jesus is Lord over Rockford" and "America, Bless God." He even carried the message onto a billboard of his own. When he went home to be with the Lord in October 2020, those declarations did not die.
Their roots were still in the ground.

This year the Lord led us to Genesis 26, where Isaac returns to the wells his father Abraham had dug — wells that enemies had filled with dirt to bury access to the water. The source never dried up; only the access was covered. So Isaac dug them again:

"Isaac dug again the wells of water… and he called them by the names which his father
had called them."
Genesis 26:18

That is exactly what this campaign is. We are not inventing new slogans. We are re-digging the wells our father dug — calling them by the same names, restoring the declarations he established over this city, and letting the living water flow again for a new generation.
